Cuk has chosen Down - Bury Me In Smoke as his entrance music. Semin Cuk has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cuk throws a sloppy head kick and Rook moves out of range easily.
A chopping leg kick lands by Cuk.
Rook misses the jab.
Cuk displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rook.
Rook displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cuk throws out the jab.
Cuk thows a left - swing and a miss!
Rook swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rook will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Rook uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cuk.
Cuk throws a head kick that misses.
Cuk looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Rook lands a jab to the nose.

It looks like Semin Cuk has been cut.

Rook shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Rook punching from mount but Cuk doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Cuk is trying desperately to improve position.
Cuk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rook. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rook lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Cuk hang on?

Rook moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Cuk has worked his arm free - good work by Cuk!

Rook swings around for an armbar but Cuk sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Rook's guard.

Rook is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Cuk has his hands clasped together but Rook extends an breaks Cuk's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Rook.
