Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Randall McMurphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raive Manuel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McMurphy comes to the cage accompanied by I own Golly God.. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Alyssa Summers and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manuel misses with a series of wild punches.
Nice takedown defense from McMurphy. No joy for Manuel on that attempt.
McMurphy dodges the punch combination from Manuel.
Manuel fails with a takedown attempt.
Manuel shoots in for a double leg but McMurphy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Randall McMurphy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raive Manuel.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

McMurphy is taking a breather. Manuel says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
McMurphy is trying to control the action in half guard but Manuel is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
McMurphy is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Manuel wants to hold on but McMurphy pushes him away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McMurphy has hold of Manuel's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Manuel manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

McMurphy has control of Manuel's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Manuel regains control of the situation pretty easily.
McMurphy takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Manuel rolls, trying to escape but McMurphy keeps control of the position.
McMurphy is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Manuel taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from McMurphy.

After winning the bout, Randall McMurphy thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
