Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cy Sharp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ultimate Warrior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Warrior is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ultimate Warrior Entrance. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cy Sharp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ultimate Warrior!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Joseph Jones and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sharp changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Warrior looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Warrior tries to bench press Sharp off him but Sharp keeps the position.
Sharp connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Warrior some visible discomfort.
Warrior is trying to control Sharp's posture but Sharp avoids it.

Sharp decides to stand back up.
Warrior tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sharp swivels and escapes.
Warrior wants to clinch up but Sharp keeps it at a distance.

Warrior closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Warrior lands in his opponent's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sharp looking to control.
Sharp could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Warrior tries to free his leg and advance position but Sharp is retaining full guard.
Warrior is looking to work some ground and pound but Sharp has wrist control.
Sharp wants to improve his position but instead Warrior has moved into half guard.
Sharp trying to hold on to Warrior's head to control him but Warrior postures up.
Sharp is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Sharp is staying active underneath Warrior, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sharp wants to control but Warrior is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Sharp wants to get back to full guard.
Sharp tries to kick Warrior off but Warrior keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Warrior wants to take a breather but Sharp is having none of it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sharp lands a jab to the nose.
Sharp fails to land with a series of punches.
Sharp connects with a single shot there.
Sharp cracks a nice hook into Warrior's ribs.

Sharp fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Warrior sprawls well initially but Sharp persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Warrior gets back to full guard.
Warrior trying to control the position.
Sharp being controlled here momentarily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Warrior is looking for a triangle but Sharp pushes his legs off easily.
Sharp postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Warrior is on top in guard.
Sharp manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Warrior manages to get himself to full guard.
Sharp lands a couple of digs.
Sharp postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sharp accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sharp slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Sharp throws a big right hand that misses.

Sharp drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Warrior manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sharp has Warrior in his guard.
Warrior seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Sharp wants to sweep but no luck.
Sharp has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Warrior trying to control but Sharp is working from the bottom.
Sharp wants to stand and escape but Warrior is having none of it.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Sharp not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sharp will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sharp misses with a lunging right hand

and Warrior counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Warrior.

Warrior has hold of one of Sharp's legs. Sharp is fighting the takedown attempt but Warrior gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Warrior pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sharp is keeping the position for now.
Sharp has his hands on Warrior's head, controlling the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sharp pushes Warrior off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Sharp misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Warrior gets the takedown into side control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sharp is looking to get back to his feet here but Warrior is keeping cool and he's managed to take Sharp's back.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Cy Sharp will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


The fight stays on the outside here - Warrior looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sharp misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sharp looks to throw the jab but Warrior is out of range.
Sharp lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Sharp throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Warrior counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Warrior changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sharp tries to avoid it but Warrior manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sharp to the ground. Sharp escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sharp fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sharp shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Warrior eats them both and turns towards Sharp to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Cy Sharp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Warrior shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sharp avoids the head kick by Warrior.
Warrior misses with a body kick.
Sharp tries to close the distance and clinch up but Warrior swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Warrior fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sharp avoids it really well and circles away.
Warrior doesn't manage to clinch there - Sharp circles away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sharp drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Warrior throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Warrior trying to control the position.

Warrior had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sharp defends it easily.
Warrior lands a decent shot there.

Sharp drops back, looking for a kneebar! Warrior looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Warrior looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Warrior!
Sharp is looking to regain half guard here but Warrior keeps moving and retains side control.
Warrior connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Sharp some visible discomfort.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Warrior in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Sharp is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sharp is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Warrior cracks Sharp with a big right hand but Sharp just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Sharp sneaks out the side door and pushes Warrior away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Sharp shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Sharp lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Warrior throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Warrior is desperately trying to improve his position but Sharp has a good base and remains in mount.

Sharp goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Warrior is on top in guard.
Sharp trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Sharp wants to sweep but no luck.
Sharp wants to stand and escape but Warrior is having none of it.
Warrior lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Warrior has gone for a leg lock! Sharp slips out almost immediately though and dives into Warrior's guard.

Sharp drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Warrior manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sharp has Warrior in his guard.

Sharp wants to sweep here but Warrior controlling him for the moment.
Warrior must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Warrior lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Warrior wants to control from the top but Sharp keeps moving.

Ultimate Warrior showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Sharp rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Warrior moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sharp throws a good cross that connects.
Sharp stuffs the takedown.
Sharp lands a lovely overhand right.
Sharp blocks a head kick by Warrior.
Sharp misses with a wild combination.
Sharp is looking to clinch.
Sharp dodges the punch combination from Warrior.

Warrior shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Sharp tries to kick Warrior off but Warrior keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Sharp is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Warrior scores with a couple of nice shots.

Sharp keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Warrior is keen to just control but Sharp is a slippery customer.
Still in half guard, Warrior seems content to control.
Warrior is pressing down on Sharp's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sharp is holding on for now.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Sharp tries to kick Warrior off but Warrior keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ultimate Warrior was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Warrior closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Warrior gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Sharp regains guard.

Warrior trying to control the position from guard on top but Sharp is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Warrior gets to his feet. Sharp looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Warrior shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sharp defends it nicely.
Sharp ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Warrior closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sharp circles away.
Cy Sharp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ultimate Warrior.

and Warrior counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Warrior takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Sharp pushes Warrior off and gets back to his feet.
Warrior throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Sharp is looking to clinch.
Warrior tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Sharp throws a series of punches but Warrior moves out of range.
Sharp goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Warrior closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sharp circles away.
Sharp misses with a double jab.
Warrior throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Warrior looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sharp is fending him off so far but Warrior persists. Nope, Sharp circles away and we're back to standing.
Sharp misses with a series of wild punches.
Warrior with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sharp to score with a decent uppercut.

Warrior closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sharp did well to prevent Warrior getting side control.
Sharp looks like he's trying to stand up.
Warrior looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Sharp lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Warrior tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sharp sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Warrior somewhat.
A head kick misses from Warrior.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ultimate Warrior comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Warrior has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A less than humble Ultimate Warrior misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
