PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Winslow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and WIlliam Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob has chosen I got my game on as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shane Winslow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, WIlliam Bob!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Bob shoots in for a double leg but Winslow sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Bob tries for a takedown but Winslow circles away easily

and Winslow counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Winslow.
Winslow is trying to drag Bob to the mat but Bob just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Winslow is working for takedown but Bob is calmly controlling the position for now.
Bob gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Winslow.

Bob postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Winslow is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bob, into his guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Winslow utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Bob has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Bob drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Winslow dives on top into guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bob can do anything to dispel that myth.
Winslow is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
