Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zishan Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Steve Austin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zishan Khan! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Austin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Khan lands a big head kick that sends Austin tumbling to the mat! Khan takes a step backwards and waves Austin back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Steve Austin has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Khan avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Austin looks to land a combination but Khan avoids it well. Khan gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Khan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Khan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Austin taking some punishment here, with Khan in his half guard.
Austin is rocked! Khan is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Austin looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Khan stands up and waves to Austin to follow him. Khan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Khan misses with an attempted head punch from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Khan looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Khan has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Austin misses with a series of wild punches.

Khan moves into the clinch successfully.
Khan is trying to trip Austin. He has hold of a leg but Austin is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Khan persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Austin wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Khan is now in half guard. Austin is looking to escape. Khan stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Austin to get to his feet. Khan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Austin is trying to defend but Khan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Khan looks gassed! Austin is pressing down on Khan's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Austin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Khan. Austin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Austin wants to improve his position but instead Khan has moved into half guard.

Austin throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Khan pushes Austin up against the cage in a clinch. Khan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Austin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Khan shoots in and gets a takedown into Austin's guard. Khan working some strikes from top position. Austin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Khan is controlling him. Zishan Khan has got the better of the ground game so far. Austin keeping moving, preventing Khan from controlling successfully. Austin preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Khan works over Austin with some ground and pound from guard. Austin working for a triangle but Khan defends it easily.
Khan stands up from Austin's guard - Khan perhaps looking for a knockout. Khan throws a low kick but Austin avoids it. Austin is looking to clinch but Khan is avoiding it.
Khan clinches up against the cage. Khan turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Khan is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Austin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Khan decides to stand back up. Khan is breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Austin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Khan. Nice body kick there by Khan. Khan has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Austin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Austin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Khan. Austin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Khan circles away quickly and effectively. Steve Austin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Austin misses with a few strikes there.

Khan scores a takedown into full mount! Austin is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Khan lands a heavy elbow. Austin sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Austin is trying to control but can't.
Khan wants to pass the guard but Austin is defending well. Austin manages to get to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Austin keeping moving, preventing Khan from controlling successfully. Khan keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Austin's head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Khan is looking to stand up but Austin won't let him. Khan advances to half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Khan content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Khan is looking to stall here but Austin recovers full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zishan Khan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Steve Austin's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
A leg kick checked by Khan. Khan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Austin's guard. Austin controls Khan momentarily but Khan frees himself. Austin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Khan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Khan trying to control the position from guard on top but Austin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Khan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Khan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Khan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Austin is not content to let Khan control the position. Khan stops Austin from getting back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Khan misses with a wild combination.

so Khan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Khan trying to control but Austin is working from the bottom. Khan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Austin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Khan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Austin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Khan is controlling him. Khan is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Zishan Khan hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. A low kick from Austin is predictable there and Khan counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Khan is thwarting Austin's attempts to control the position. Khan trying to control the pace. Khan wants to pass to mount but Austin is defending the position. Steve Austin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Austin is trying to control but can't.
And that's the end of the fight! Zishan Khan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Khan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
