Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buan Chaka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clark Harris!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaka drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Chaka working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Harris dodges the ground and pound from Chaka.
Chaka throws a strike aimed at the side of Harris's head but Harris avoids it well.
Harris wants to get back to his feet.
Chaka lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Harris down.
It looks like Clark Harris has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chaka scores with a couple of short elbows.
Chaka misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Chaka has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Harris dodges the ground and pound from Chaka.
Chaka just content to control the position.
Harris really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chaka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Chaka tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Chaka has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chaka decides to stand up, so the ref orders Harris to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Harris tries to clinch there but Chaka circles away.
Chaka forces Harris back against the cage and clinches.
Chaka works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Chaka postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Chaka throws a big elbow that misses.
Chaka is pushing down on Harris's leg trying to pass to half guard. Harris is fighting to maintain full guard but Chaka has managed to sneak the leg through.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chaka moves into full mount! Harris won't be happy about that!
Chaka cracks Harris with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chaka scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That has opened up Clark Harris's cut even more.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Clark Harris's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Buan Chaka!
