Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between The Sixth Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack The Ripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, The Sixth Man!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack The Ripper!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sixth Man gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The Ripper's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The Ripper works a leg free and moves into half guard.

The Ripper closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The Ripper is taking a breather. Sixth Man says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jack The Ripper was stalling too much, according to the referee.

The Ripper feints and as Sixth Man raises his hands in defense, The Ripper changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The Ripper seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The Ripper passes Sixth Man's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The Ripper takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack The Ripper dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


The Ripper is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sixth Man sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Sixth Man wants to clinch.

The Ripper throws an overhand right that lands on Sixth Man's shoulder, as Sixth Man tries to avoid the shot.

The Ripper shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

The Ripper has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The referee warns Sixth Man that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Let's hope that The Ripper has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The Ripper connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

The Ripper is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Sixth Man has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Sixth Man is in a horrible position here. The Ripper smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

The Ripper lands a big shot there that rocks Sixth Man but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The Ripper takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Jack The Ripper showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Sixth Man is bucking up trying to escape but The Ripper cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
The Ripper lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Jack The Ripper has got the better of the ground game so far.

The Ripper has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Jack The Ripper has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Sixth Man misses with a takedown attempt

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sixth Man has left one of his arms exposed and The Ripper doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Sixth Man screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
