Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doctor Octopus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Izaak Guus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Octopus kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Morbid Angels OCTOPUSS GRIP. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Octopus doesn't manage to clinch there - Guus circles away.
Octopus closes the distance and pushes Guus back into the cage.
Octopus lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
It looks like Izaak Guus has been cut.
Octopus lands a big knee from the Thai clinch and Guus goes down hard! The ref takes a good look at him but he's still defending himself. Octopus in side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Guus tries to improve position but can't.
Octopus tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Octopus is working to tighten is grip on Guus 's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Guus has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Octopus is really squeezing tight and eventually Guus passes out! Octopus breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Doctor Octopus!
