Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barry Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Brentwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is When Will They Shoot. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brentwood stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Brentwood wants it to stay on the feet.
Brentwood feints and then cracks Smith's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Smith down.
A lazy body kick from Brentwood
and Smith connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Bruce Brentwood has been cut.
Smith blocks a head kick by Brentwood.
A head kick misses from Brentwood.
Smith misses with a head kick.
Bruce Brentwood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brentwood displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Smith.
Smith checks a low kick from Brentwood.
Brentwood throws a chopping leg kick but Smith manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Brentwood throws a head kick but Smith moves out of range.
Brentwood on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Smith. Smith obviously looking to wear him down.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Brentwood tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Smith wants to clinch up but Brentwood keeps it at a distance.
Smith blocks the body kick.
Smith moves out of range of the leg kick from Brentwood.
Brentwood misses with a body kick.
Brentwood throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Brentwood misses with a leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith lands a jab-cross combination.
Smith fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Barry Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brentwood tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brentwood to the ground. Brentwood escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Brentwood walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Smith checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Smith misses with a two punch combination.
Brentwood throws a right hand that Smith ducks under and follows up with a left that Smith also avoids with ease.
Smith tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Brentwood manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Smith moves out of range as Brentwood throws a body kick.
Brentwood misses with a body punch
and Smith counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Brentwood working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Smith doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Brentwood is tightening it up a little... Smith has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Smith reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Smith taps out! Nice BJJ there by Brentwood!
