Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Mink (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sweaty Mullins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mink comes into the arena with Macho Man blaring out of the sound system. Mike Mink has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Mink!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sweaty Mullins!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Eddie Farnsworth and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mullins closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mink's guard.
Mullins sitting in guard, not really doing much.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mullins accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Mullins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mink swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mullins throwing strikes but missing.
Mullins trying to control but Mink is working from the bottom.
Mullins is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Sweaty Mullins wasn't active enough on the ground.

Mullins will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Mullins closes the distance but Mink moves to the side
and Mink counters with a series of strikes. Mullins will be more careful next time no doubt.

Mink is trying to force a seperation but Mullins has the dominant position.
Mullins is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Mink is defending well.
Mink scores with a shot to the side of Mullins's head.
Mink throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Mullinss head.
Mullins is trying to pull guard but Mink has him pressed against the cage.

Mullins has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Mullins has hold of Mink's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mink manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Some wild striking there from Mink.

Mullins closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Mullins has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Mullins has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mink is working away from the top position though.

Mullins wants to hit a switch here but Mink passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Mullins there!

Mink stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Mullins fails in his attempt to clinch.

No luck for Mullins with that takedown attempt.
Mullins tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Mullins shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Mink is looking to improve his position but Mullins isn't that keen on the idea.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mink holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Mullins tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Mink is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Mink tries to reverse the position but Mullins maintains control.
Mullins content just to control the position here.
Mullins cracks Mink with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Mink is desperately trying to improve his position but Mullins has a good base and remains in mount.
Mink is working hard here to advance position.
Sweaty Mullins is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mullins trying to control but Mink is having none of it.
Mike Mink has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Mullins is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
