Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ari Birmiski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Birmiski's entrance music is I'm Back - T.I. A fine choice. Penn has chosen Loser as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Birmiski misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Penn.
Penn goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Penn tries for a takedown but Birmiski circles away easily
and Birmiski counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Penn on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Birmiski keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Birmiski throws a jab but it's blocked by Penn.

Penn throws out a loose jab but Birmiski uses good head movement to avoid it.
Penn throws a hook to the side of Birmiski's head but Birmiski sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Birmiski is trying hard to land a takedown here. Penn sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Penn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Birmiski swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The referee is keeping an eye on Birmiski - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

That was a close round but I would say that Ari Birmiski will probably get the nod.
