PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kareem Aziz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esta me Dinero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aziz's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Lowkey- Long Live Palestine. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kareem Aziz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Esta me Dinero!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Dinero, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Dinero is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Aziz's half guard.
Dinero tries to stand and escape but Aziz is controlling the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Esta me Dinero was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Dinero fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Aziz has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dinero shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dinero showed some decent athleticism there.

Aziz wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Dinero fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Aziz sprawls well initially but Dinero persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

I really don't envy Aziz right now.
Dinero doesn't have the hooks in and Aziz manages to turn into his guard.

Aziz drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dinero manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Aziz has Dinero in his guard.

Esta me Dinero showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Dinero throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Aziz tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Dinero is in Aziz's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aziz wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Dinero is now in half guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

It looks like Dinero is going to stand back up.
Aziz regains full guard. Nicely done.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Aziz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dinero doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dinero manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well Dinero has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
