Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kari Jurri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Doe!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jurri darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Nice takedown defense from Jurri. No joy for Doe on that attempt.
Jurri lands a glancing blow to the side of Doe's head.
Jurri stuffs the takedown attempt from Doe. Doe gets slowly back to his feet.
Doe staying out of range there.
Doe misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jurri fails in his attempt to clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Doe wants to control but Jurri is keeping him busy.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Doe fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jurri avoids it really well and circles away.
Kari Jurri has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Doe.
Jurri tries a head kick but it misses.
Doe fails to land the takedown.
Jurri misses the jab.
Doe blocks a low kick nicely.
Jurri tries to clinch there but Doe circles away.

Jurri swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Doe counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Doe tries a head kick but it misses.

Jurri closes the distance and clinches.
Doe wants to get back to striking at distance but Jurri won't allow it.
Doe is trying to break the clinch but Jurri is controlling him.
Jurri pushes off an throws an elbow but Doe leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Doe is trying to force a seperation but Jurri has the dominant position.
Jurri has Doe pushed against the cage.

Jurri tries to land a knee to the head but Doe blocks with his arms.
Doe tries to break the clinch but Jurri is controlling the position.

Doe breaks from the clinch.
Jurri leaves Doe with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jurri looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Doe changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jurri looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jurri is trying to control Doe's posture but Doe avoids it.
Jurri is looking for a sweep.

Doe falls off balance throwing a combination
and Jurri counters with a left to the body.
Doe fails with the takedown.
Jurri tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Doe doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Jurri sizes up Doe with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
A chopping leg kick lands by Jurri.
Jurri lands a jab to Doe's midsection.
Doe chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jurri can pounce on him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jurri fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Doe looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Jurri takes the fight into the clinch.
Jurri is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Doe avoids a wild elbow strike from Jurri.
Jurri scores a nice knee to the body.
Doe takes an elbow to the forehead.


It looks like John Doe has been cut.
Jurri connects with a knee to the head.
Jurri crunches a lovely knee into Doe's ribcage.
Jurri connects with a nasty looking knee right to Doe's face.

Doe is trying to drag Jurri to the mat but Jurri just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Doe is looking to break free of the clinch but Jurri has double underhooks.
Doe has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Jurri keeps control of Doe as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Doe takes an elbow to the temple.
Doe is trying to force a seperation but Jurri has the dominant position.

Doe breaks from the clinch.
A big right from Doe misses.
Doe chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jurri can pounce on him.
Doe throws a head kick that misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Doe crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Jurri - the referee stops the clock and Doe gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Jurri. Doe manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Kari Jurri is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Doe fails with a takedown attempt.
Kari Jurri has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Doe.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jurri.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

The cut man is working on John Doe's cut.
That's time! Jurri's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Jurri wants to slow Doe down by chopping away at his legs.
Doe throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jurri's waist but Jurri gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Doe off to one side.
Jurri scores with a nice strike.
Jurri lands a jab to Doe's midsection.

With the fighters up against the cage, Jurri throws an elbow but misses.
Jurri lands a damaging elbow.
Jurri unloads a knee to the mid-section. Doe lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
A short uppercut from Jurri.
Doe takes an elbow to the temple.
Kari Jurri has scored more points in the clinch so far.
Jurri tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Jurri lands an elbow inside that Doe shrugs off.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Jurri obliges.

A nice glancing elbow lands by Jurri.

Jurri lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Doe backwards.
Doe takes an elbow to the temple.
Jurri throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Jurri landing knees to the head.
Jurri lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Doe is looking to break free of the clinch but Jurri has double underhooks.

Jurri is pushing Doe up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Doe wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Jurri creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Doe's defenses.
Jurri lands a damaging elbow.
Jurri digs a right hand into Doe's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Doe's gas tank.
Jurri throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Doe tries to break free but Jurri pushes him back against the cage.

Jurri lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Jurri has Doe pressed against the cage.
Jurri prevents Doe from breaking the clinch.
Doe takes a knee right on the jaw!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jurri misses with an elbow over the top.
Doe is working for takedown but Jurri is calmly controlling the position for now.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kari Jurri showed his dominance in that final round.
