Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Jorge Garcia and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shimizu doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Shimizu cracks Tavarius with a good jab.
It looks like Rikki Tavarius has been cut.
Tavarius throws a head kick that misses.
Tavarius misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Shimizu.
Tavarius moves forwards but Shimizu connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Tavarius misses the shot to the body.
Shimizu lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Tavarius at a distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shimizu throws a leg kick but Tavarius sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Shimizu throws a hook but Tavarius avoids it easily.
Shimizu lands a leg kick that knocks Tavarius off balance momentarily.
Tavarius takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Tavarius is rocked!
Tavarius throws a body punch but Shimizu moves out of range.
Tavarius is still on wobbly legs! Can Shimizu finish him?
Shimizu misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tavarius.
Shimizu misses with a wild combination.
Tavarius seems to have recovered his senses.
Shimizu dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Tavarius. That did some damage!
Shimizu throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Tavarius's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Shimizu dives in looking to finish as Tavarius flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Shimizu's strikes! Shimizu is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Tavarius's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Tavarius was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
