The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calliente closes the distance and clinches up with Rudd, looking for a takedown. Calliente pushes Rudd against the cage but Rudd circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Calliente stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Calliente wants it to stay on the feet.
Calliente shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
