The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Derka misses the shot to the body.
Monsterson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Derka's guard.
Monsterson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Derka controls Monsterson momentarily but Monsterson frees himself.

Monsterson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Monsterson wants it to stay on the feet.

Monsterson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Derka looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Monsterson is taking a breather. Derka says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Derka is looking for a sweep. Monsterson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Derka is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Monsterson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Monsterson's back!

Well Monsterson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
