Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Phoenix Wright seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wright lands with a cross.
Naleck changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wright tries to avoid it but Naleck manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wright to the ground. Wright escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Wright lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Wright circles away from the clinch attempt
and Wright counters with a nice uppercut.
Wright throws a right and a left that both miss.
Wright stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wright wants it to stay on the feet.
Wright throws a combination that misses
and Naleck counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Naleck.
Wright wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Naleck has him pressed against the cage.
Naleck fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Naleck. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wright looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Naleck tries to pull guard but Wright won't allow it.

Naleck is working for takedown but Wright is calmly controlling the position for now.
Wright's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Naleck is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Wright takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Wright wants to land a leg kick but Naleck is out of range.
Naleck could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Wright throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Danga de danga de dang - Wright scores with a four punch combination!
Naleck closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Wright misses with the head strike.
Wright jumps guard but Naleck turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Wright is trying to break the clinch but Naleck has him pressed against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Naleck tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wright smiles and moves away.
Wright throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wright swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Naleck.
Wright throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Naleck fails with a takedown attempt.
Wright displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Naleck. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Naleck closes the distance and clinches.
Naleck pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Naleck avoids the head kick by Wright.
Wright's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Wright duly obliges.
Wright throws a one two combo.
Wright lunges at Naleck with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Naleck's hand.
Naleck shoots in for a takedown but Wright shows good takedown defense.
Wright lands a body shot.
Wright connects with a jab.
Naleck seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Wright shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Naleck is backing up but Wright catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Naleck covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Wright Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Phoenix Wright!
