Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David Ludher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yuri Sichev! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ludher is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sichev's half guard. Ludher lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Sichev is looking for a sweep. Ludher is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Sichev is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ludher scores with a couple of nice shots. Ludher looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sichev with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Sichev looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Ludher trying to pass the guard but Sichev defending well. Ludher looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Ludher works his way into full mount! Ludher blocks Sichev's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ludher scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Ludher looking to control but Sichev is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Ludher prevents Sichev from getting the reversal. Sichev takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Ludher's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
