The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Z rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Charcoal moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Z scores with a jab to the body.

Charcoal drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Charcoal creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Z sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Z manages to get back to half guard.
Charcoal lands strikes from half guard.
Charcoal has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Z regains full guard. Nicely done.
Charcoal postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Charcoal's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Z ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Z jabs Charcoal to the body, keeping him at a distance.
A solid leg kick lands there for Charcoal.
Z's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Charcoal connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Z scrambles back to his feet.
Z looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Z misses with a lunging right hand
and Charcoal makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Z dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Charcoal lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Charcoal takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Z digs a good hook to Charcoal's body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Z walks into a stiff left hand from Charcoal.
Z dips to his left and cracks Charcoal with an uppercut!
Charcoal throws a left and a right that both miss
and Z cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Z tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Z blocks a jab.
Z throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Charcoal lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Z steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Charcoal.
Z throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Z misses with a combination
and Charcoal counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Jay Z has been cut.

Charcoal throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Z sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Z has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Charcoal finds it's way round the side to connect with Z's head.
Z tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Charcoal was well out of range. Poor timing from Z.
Charcoal shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Z defends it nicely.
Z throws a lazy right hand but Charcoal sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Z looks for a takedown but Charcoal sprawls well.
Z blocks a leg kick.

Z dodges the punch combination from Charcoal.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Charcoal.
Charcoal misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Z counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Charcoal lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Z has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Z and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Charcoal throws a half hearted mid kick.
Z throws a shot from downtown. Charcoal moves away and avoids it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Charcoal fails to land with a series of punches.
Z throws a series of punches but Charcoal avoids them all with ease.

Charcoal throws a hook to the side of Z's head but Z sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Z walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Z bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Charcoal cracks Z with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Charcoal lands an overhand right.
A telegraphed right hand from Charcoal misses the target.
Z throws a lazy uppercut
and Charcoal counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Charcoal looks at the referee who does nothing so Charcoal lands a crushing right that sends Z to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.
