Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Blake Perez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Elias El Kapitan!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
El Kapitan pulls out of a head kick attempt.
El Kapitan lands with a kick to the ribs.
El Kapitan lands a leg kick that knocks Perez off balance momentarily.
El Kapitan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Perez just misses with a punch to the body.

Perez closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. El Kapitan quickly recovers to half guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Elias El Kapitan wasn't active enough on the ground.
Perez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts El Kapitan as he jumps to the side.
El Kapitan throws a quick inside leg kick.
El Kapitan sizes up Perez with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
A nice inside leg kick there by El Kapitan. That's going to slow Perez down.
Perez is breathing heavily.
Perez takes a swing at El Kapitan's ribcage but misses.
El Kapitan keeps Perez at a distance using the push kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
El Kapitan cracks Perez with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Perez chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before El Kapitan can pounce on him.

Elias El Kapitan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
El Kapitan throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
El Kapitan ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Perez takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if El Kapitan can do anything to dispel that myth.

Perez is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt El Kapitan will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

El Kapitan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Perez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Perez lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear El Kapitan down.
