Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Carioca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vera kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Black Eyed Peas - Bebot. On his way into the cage it seems that Michael Vera has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Michael Vera seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Thiago Cunha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vera gets a clinch.
Vera pushes off an throws an elbow but Carioca leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Carioca breaks the clinch.
Carioca misses with a body kick.
Vera misses the shot to the body.
Carioca takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Vera gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Vera missing with knees to the body.

Vera tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Vera pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Carioca wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Vera misses with a knee to the head.
Carioca tries to break free but Vera pushes him back against the cage.
Carioca dodges an elbow strike from Vera.
Vera using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Carioca has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Carioca can't break the clinch.
Carioca is trying to maintain a safe position but Vera gets an underhook and turns Carioca into the cage.
Vera misses with a knee strike.

Carioca tries to circle away but Vera has him pinned against the cage.
Vera scores with a knee to the head.
Vera creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Carioca's defenses.
Vera landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Vera comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Vera throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Carioca blocks it with crossed arms.

A frustrated look appears on Carioca's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Carioca has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Vera misses with an elbow strike.
Carioca wants to break the clinch but can't.
Carioca managing to block the knees to the body from Vera.
Vera keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Carioca's efforts to push away.
Vera has Carioca pressed against the cage.
Vera throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Vera creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Carioca pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Carioca misses with a jab, cross combination.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vera takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Vera throws a leg kick that is checked
and Carioca counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Vera connects with a solid leg kick.
Vera throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Michael Vera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carioca fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Carioca chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Vera can pounce on him.
Vera throws a leg kick which misses Carioca's front leg but catches the back leg as Carioca tries to avoid it.

Vera takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Vera swings for the body but Carioca moves out of range.
Carioca tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Carioca works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Vera misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Vera wants to slow Carioca down by chopping away at his legs.
Vera blocks the body kick.
Carioca throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Carioca looks to land a body kick but Vera moved away.
Carioca cracks Vera with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Vera throws a leg kick but Carioca sees it coming and moves out of range.
Carioca throws a head kick that Vera semi-blocks.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Carioca misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Carioca drops Vera with a beautiful combination! Vera stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Carioca is looking for the KO!
Vera is rocked!
Carioca misses with a jab, cross combination.
Oh Vera is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Carioca throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Carioca defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Vera.
Carioca misses with a head kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vera is defended easily by Carioca.
Carioca throws a powerful right kick. Vera tried to block low but the kick was high! Vera was taken right off of his feet! Carioca jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
