Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dima Mikhalev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Arlovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mikhalev tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Arlovski manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mikhalev.
Mikhalev shoots in for a takedown but Arlovski shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Mikhalev moves into range and clinches up with Arlovski.

The fighters circle momentarily. Arlovski darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Mikhalev had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Arlovski defends it easily.

Mikhalev pushes Arlovski off and scrambles back to his feet.
Arlovski gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mikhalev.
Mikhalev closes the distance and clinches up with Arlovski, looking for a takedown. Mikhalev pushes Arlovski against the cage but Arlovski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Arlovski keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Arlovski fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mikhalev wants to clinch up but Arlovski keeps it at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dima Mikhalev dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Mikhalev shoots in looking for a takedown. Arlovski tries to sprawl out of it but Mikhalev keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Arlovski manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Arlovski has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mikhalev after a bit of a struggle.

Mikhalev ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mikhalev no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Arlovski is looking to work some ground and pound but Mikhalev has wrist control.
Mikhalev has momentary wrist control but Arlovski slips an elbow through the middle.

Mikhalev is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Arlovski is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Fedor Arlovski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
