Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between First Second (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Harrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harrison has chosen DMX - Joe Harrison Song as his entrance music. Joe Harrison is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, First Second!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joe Harrison!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harrison keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Harrison avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Harrison will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Second scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Second closes the distance but Harrison moves to the side
and Harrison counters with a lovely shot to the body.

and Harrison counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Harrison rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Second moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Harrison throws a series of punches but Second moves out of range.
Harrison misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Second.
Harrison lands with a nice body punch.

Second avoids a punch combination nicely.
Second tries to clinch but Harrison is having none of it.

Harrison throws a series of punches but Second moves out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Harrison. Those never looked like landing.
Second dodges the punch combination from Harrison.

and Harrison cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Second tries to close the distance and clinch but Harrison swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

First Second seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Second counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Harrison pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Harrison throws a series of punches but Second avoids them all with ease.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Second moves into range and clinches up with Harrison.
Second is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Harrison is defending well for now.
Second misses with an elbow over the top.
Second lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.


It looks like Joe Harrison has been cut.
Second stalling in the clinch but Harrison improves position.

Harrison tries to break the clinch but Second is controlling the position.

Harrison's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Second takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Second is looking to slow Harrison down with leg kicks.
Harrison scores to the head and body with a nice combination!


It looks like First Second has been cut.

Harrison lands a left and a right that send Second crashing to the mat, dazed. Harrison thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Second is rocked!
Second is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Harrison throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Second stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Oh Second is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Harrison throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Second.
Harrison throws a pinpoint strike between Second's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Second crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Harrison scores a great knockout victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Joe Harrison!
A very excited looking Joe Harrison made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
