Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andre Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Curtis Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Holmes comes to the cage accompanied by "Unsettling Differences" by Blue Smock Nancy. Andre Holmes has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andre Holmes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Curtis Walker! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Holmes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Walker's waist but Walker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Holmes off to one side. Nice sprawl there from Walker as Holmes shoots in. Holmes has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Holmes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Holmes tries for a takedown but Walker circles away easily and Walker counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Holmes is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Walker jumps into side control! Walker scoring with punches and elbows. Holmes seems a little lost for a moment, as Walker dominates the positioning. Holmes misses with an elbow from the bottom. Walker controlling the position from side mount. Holmes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Walker's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holmes regains half guard. Holmes looking for submissions off his back. Holmes wants to control but Walker is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holmes actively working from the bottom here. Holmes keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Holmes wants to control but Walker is keeping busy and won't allow it. Walker is looking to advance position but Holmes won't allow it. Holmes is doing well to control the position and prevent Walker from advancing to side control.

Andre Holmes has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Walker ducks under a wild hook from Holmes. Holmes looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Holmes wants to take a breather but Walker is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Holmes stands up from half guard. Holmes darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Walker has one foot on Holmes's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Holmes has a takedown stuffed. Walker stuffs the takedown attempt from Holmes. Holmes gets slowly back to his feet. Holmes with a poor takedown and Walker counters with a lovely straight right hand! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Holmes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Walker!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Walker. Holmes shrugs it off though. Walker slips under a jab from Holmes. Holmes shoots in for a takedown but Walker shows good takedown defense. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holmes has his takedown stuffed and Walker counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Walker throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Andre Holmes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Walker moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Holmes fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Walker fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Holmes avoids it really well and circles away. Walker drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walker wants to control but Holmes is keeping him busy. Holmes tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Walker wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Walker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Holmes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Walker trying to control the position but Holmes is working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Holmes is looking to regain half guard here but Walker keeps moving and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holmes throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Holmes tries to bench press Walker off him but Walker keeps the position. Walker trying to control the action but Holmes is working from the bottom. Walker avoids the strikes from the bottom by Holmes. Holmes looks to move to half guard but instead Walker has passed into mount! Damn! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Walker prevents Holmes from getting the reversal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Curtis Walker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Walker shoots in for a double leg but Holmes sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Holmes is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Holmes feints a jab promting Walker to slip. Holmes then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Walker slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Curtis Walker has been cut. Holmes tries for a takedown but Walker sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Donk. Walker catches Holmes right on the button with a cross. Holmes closes this distance looking for a takedown but Walker circles away. Walker misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Holmes darts in and clinches Walker up against the cage. Holmes is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Walker to keep the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Holmes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Holmes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Holmes gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Walker pulls guard effortlessly. Holmes wants to stand but Walker has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holmes loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Holmes takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Holmes looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Walker is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Holmes is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holmes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Walker is keeping the position for now.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Walker keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Holmes tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Walker manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Holmes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Walker paws at him with a jab and circles away. Walker misses with a jab, cross combination.

Holmes loads up on a big right hand but Walker slips the punch. Walker keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Holmes instigates a clinch.
