2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Lunder! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jackson Cole! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cole shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Cole was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Lunder manages to regain half guard. Good work. Lunder gets back to full guard.
Lunder is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cole is aware though and is defending well. Cole trying to control but Lunder is working from the bottom. Lunder will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Lunder has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cole can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Cole trying to control the position from guard on top but Lunder is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lunder really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. This has been an exciting period of action! Lunder looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cole is one step ahead there. Cole must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lunder is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lunder decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Lunder shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cole pinned against the cage. Cole gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lunder is defended easily by Cole. Lunder looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cole is fending him off so far but Lunder persists. Nope, Cole circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Lunder. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lunder shoots in for a takedown but Cole shows good takedown defense. Lunder is breathing heavily. Lunder tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Cole manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Lunder shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Cole counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cole trying to control the position from guard on top but Lunder is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lunder throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Cole escapes and throws Lunder's legs to the side, diving into side control! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cole is looking to take a break and control but Lunder is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lunder is letting Cole control him for a moment. Lunder looking for a sweep but Cole has passed into full mount! Oh no! Cole prevents Lunder from getting the reversal. Cole really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lunder. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cole lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Lunder hang on?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cole unloading with bombs! Lunder sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Lunder is refusing to be controlled, as Cole sits in half guard. Cole wants to stand up but Lunder has a hold of him and won't allow it. Cole prevents Lunder from improving his position. Cole is pressing down on Lunder's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lunder is holding on for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cole is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Lunder on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lunder tries to get out of the position. Lunder is trying to maintain the position but Cole is very close to passing his half guard. Cole tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Lunder.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lunder won't allow Cole to pass to mount. Cole is looking to take a break and control but Lunder is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Lunder is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cole pulls his head out easily. Cole tries to stand but his arm is trapped. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lunder is pressing down on Cole's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cole trying to control but Lunder is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jackson Cole will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Nice takedown defense from Cole. No joy for Lunder on that attempt. Cole stuffs the takedown attempt from Lunder. Lunder gets slowly back to his feet. Horrible takedown by Lunder or perhaps it was just good defense by Cole which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Lunder. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lunder misses with a takedown attempt - Cole sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Lunder gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Cole counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cole. Cole slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Lunder is looking for a triangle but Cole pushes his legs off easily.

Cole wants to pass to mount but Lunder is defending the position. Cole throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Lunder is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Lunder looking for subs from the bottom but Cole mounts him! Jackson Cole has got the better of the ground game so far.

Cole trying to control but he's not successful this time. Lunder is trying desperately to improve position. Cole jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Lunder manages to avoid the submission attempt. Lunder manages to get back to half guard.
