Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Marco Da Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bruce Hogan! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hogan looks to land a left hand but Da Silva moved out of range nicely. Da Silva lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Hogan throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Hogan should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Left hook, right uppercut from Da Silva. Hogan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Da Silva catches Hogan with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Hogan is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Da Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hogan's waist but Hogan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Da Silva off to one side. Hogan takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Hogan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hogan wants it to stay on the feet. Da Silva takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Hogan scores to the head and body with a nice combination! A combination from Da Silva does no damage. Hogan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Da Silva sees it coming and avoids it easily. Da Silva paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Da Silva slips a jab and a cross from Hogan.

Da Silva closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hogan circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marco Da Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hogan leaves Da Silva with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Da Silva is breathing heavily. Hogan looks to land a combination but Da Silva avoids it well. A head kick misses from Hogan. Da Silva throws a right and a left that Hogan avoids nicely. Hogan just misses with a punch to the body.

and Da Silva counters with a stiff right hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hogan missing with a left hand there. Da Silva was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Hogan doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Hogan is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Da Silva. Hogan is still on wobbly legs! Can Da Silva finish him? Da Silva fails with a takedown attempt. Da Silva cracks Hogan with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Hogan tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Da Silva pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Hogan is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marco Da Silva! Marco Da Silva decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
