PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Martin James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonas Sakalas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sakalas comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Deliver Me kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jonas Sakalas was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Martin James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jonas Sakalas!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James fails with the takedown
and Sakalas counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Sakalas should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

James closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Sakalas quickly recovers to half guard.

Well Sakalas has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
