The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
It looks like Bj Penn has been cut.
Penn throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Man drops his hands momentarily and Penn takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Man takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Man on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Penn throws out a powerful jab.
Penn wants to land a leg kick but Man is out of range.
Nice uppercut lands for Penn. That snapped Man's head back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bj Penn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Penn lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Penn bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Man throws a hook but Penn blocks it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nice uppercut there from Penn.
Penn shoots and misses
and Man counters with a beautiful punch that sends Penn to the canvas!
Penn is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Man pushing down on Penn's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Oh Penn is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Still in half guard, Man seems content to control.
It looks like Man might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Man moves into full mount! Penn won't be happy about that!
Penn seems to have got his legs back now.
Man controlling the position easily from mount.
Man can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Penn is looking to escape.

Penn is looking to improve his position but Man isn't that keen on the idea.
Man tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Penn tries to reverse the position but Man maintains control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Man pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Man scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Man postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Penn bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Man and the fight is over!
