And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wrestling Spar!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vesnev misses with a hook to the body
and Spar counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Vesnev with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
A looping hook to the body misses from Vesnev. Spar does a little dance to reset his feet.
Vesnev fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Spar manages to avoid it.
Spar takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Spar looks to land a right hand but Vesnev moved out of range.

Spar scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Vesnev tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Spar wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That was a close round but I would say that Yury Vesnev will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
