We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

MImbo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. TheFish gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

MImbo has his foot on TheFish's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. TheFish works his way back into a safe position though.

MImbo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. TheFish doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. TheFish manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
MImbo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. TheFish manages to get himself to full guard.
TheFish might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

MImbo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks TheFish with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
MImbo winds up and cracks TheFish with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
TheFish is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

MImbo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and TheFish defends it well.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from MImbo lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and TheFish has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from TheFish and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

MImbo using the Thai plumb to throw knees but TheFish has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

TheFish is fighting off a takedown attempt but MImbo is just too persistent for him and manages to trip TheFish to the mat. TheFish regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as TheFish holds on and takes a little breather.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

We're going to have a standup here because Freddy TheFish wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

TheFish lands a vicious elbow to the side of MImbo's head that scrambles his senses and sends him wobbling down to the canvas! TheFish tries to finish him with strikes but MImbo still seems able to defend himself so TheFish steps back and lets MImbo get back to his feet - he wants no part of the ground game.

Jimbo MImbo's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
