Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seifer Almasy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raymond Triplett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seifer Almasy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Seifer Almasy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Raymond Triplett!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almasy tries to clinch up.
Triplett shoots for a double leg takedown but Almasy sprawls well. He's pushed Triplett's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Triplett jumps guard but Almasy stands there with Triplett around his waist. Triplett gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Almasy works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Almasy tries to free his leg and advance position but Triplett is retaining full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Triplett can do anything to dispel that myth.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Almasy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Triplett on the ground.
Almasy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Almasy's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Almasy seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Triplett for as long as he can get away with.

Triplett gets tackled into the cage by Almasy. Almasy maintains the clinch.

Almasy uses his free foot to push down on Triplett's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Triplett.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee warns Triplett that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Almasy tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Triplett is in a horrible position here. Almasy smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
