Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Corwin Anstey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaizer Shoze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anstey comes to the cage accompanied by Burn It To The Ground . Kaizer Shoze will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
32 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corwin Anstey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kaizer Shoze! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shoze shoots in but doesn't get the takedown so Anstey counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Anstey stands up and waves to Shoze to follow him. Anstey feints a jab promting Shoze to slip. Anstey then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Shoze slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. The fight stays on the outside here - Anstey looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Anstey drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! You can see the frustration on Shoze's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Anstey decides to take the fight back to the feet. Anstey throws a series of strikes that have Shoze backpedaling.
Shoze shoots in but Anstey avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anstey throws a right hand that Shoze ducks under and follows up with a left that Shoze also avoids with ease. Shoze tries to clinch up. Anstey clinches up with Shoze and pushes him back against the cage. Anstey controlling the action here for a moment.

Anstey stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Shoze misses with a takedown attempt so Anstey counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Corwin Anstey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaizer Shoze. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Anstey gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Anstey walks into a left hand. Anstey throws a nice looking combination but Shoze bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shoze throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Anstey scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Shoze tries to score a power double leg takedown but Anstey sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Shoze somewhat. Shoze looks for a takedown but Anstey sprawls well. Shoze tries to clinch but Anstey is having none of it. The fight moves into the clinch position. Anstey works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Anstey decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Shoze shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Anstey sprawls well. Anstey wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shoze gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anstey fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Shoze, pushing him back against the cage. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Anstey as Shoze tries to tie him up. Anstey is struggling to control the position. Shoze wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Anstey has him pressed against the cage. Anstey has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Shoze clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Anstey gets back to his feet from a dominant position... quite strange. Shoze throws a sloppy head kick and Anstey moves out of range easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anstey tries to clinch but Shoze moves out of range. Anstey drives through with a takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shoze is trying to keep Anstey in close.
Shoze really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anstey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Anstey gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Shoze throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Anstey throws a series of punches but Shoze avoids them all with ease. Anstey keeps the fight on the outside. Shoze throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Anstey misses with a two punch combination.
Anstey closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Shoze wants to get back to striking at distance but Anstey won't allow it.

Corwin Anstey dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Anstey feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Anstey gets to his feet - Shoze follows without any prompting. Corwin Anstey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. No luck with that takedown attempt from Shoze. Shoze tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Anstey fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Shoze, pushing him back against the cage. Shoze is trying to push Anstey away but Anstey has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Anstey lands a knee to the head.

Shoze has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Anstey has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Shoze after a bit of a struggle.

Shoze tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Anstey avoids it. Anstey is defending well against a takedown attempt. Shoze is trying to defend but Anstey finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Anstey stands up out of the half guard. Anstey closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Anstey lands in his opponent's guard. Shoze is trying to hold Anstey in close to prevent damage but Anstey has managed to pass into half guard.
Shoze has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Anstey is working away from the top position though. Anstey stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Shoze to get to his feet. Corwin Anstey is winning the standup battle so far. Anstey throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Shoze counters with a nice body kick. Shoze tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anstey looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Shoze! Anstey controlling the pace for now. Anstey's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Anstey gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Anstey is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shoze can do to turn this around? Shoze wants to clinch up but Anstey keeps it at a distance. Anstey changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shoze looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Anstey stands up and beckons Shoze to his feet. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Shoze shoots in for a takedown but Anstey shows good takedown defense. Shoze is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shoze throws a front kick that sends Anstey stumbling back into the cage. Anstey shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Anstey showed some decent athleticism there. Anstey escapes and gets back to his feet. Shoze throws a head kick but Anstey moves out of range.

Shoze tries to close the distance and clinch but Anstey swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Shoze tries to clinch but Anstey moves out of range.
