Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Aerts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Juggernaut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Peter Aerts has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Peter Aerts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kurt Juggernaut!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aerts comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Juggernaut walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Aerts checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Aerts scores with a nice body kick.
Aerts misses with an attempted mid kick.
Good shot there by Aerts.
Aerts dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Juggernaut shoots in and drives through. Aerts sprawls well.
Juggernaut takes one on the button.
Aerts lands a jab to the nose.
Juggernaut with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Aerts to score with a decent uppercut.


It looks like Kurt Juggernaut has been cut.

Juggernaut feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Juggernaut wants to pass the guard but Aerts is keeping the position.
Juggernaut controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Aerts wants to improve his position but instead Juggernaut has moved into half guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kurt Juggernaut wasn't active enough on the ground.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Aerts. Juggernaut shrugs it off though.
Juggernaut throws a series of punches but Aerts avoids them all with ease.
Juggernaut throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Aerts's waist but Aerts gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Juggernaut off to one side.
Juggernaut takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Aerts fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Juggernaut has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Aerts gets tackled into the ropes by Juggernaut. Juggernaut maintains the clinch.
Aerts throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Juggernaut blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Aerts lands an elbow inside that Juggernaut shrugs off.
Aerts pushes off an throws an elbow but Juggernaut leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.

Juggernaut blocks an elbow strike from Aerts.
Aerts tries to break free but Juggernaut pushes him back against the ropes.
Aerts putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Juggernaut in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Juggernaut pulls guard.
Juggernaut throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Juggernaut is looking for a triangle but Aerts pushes his legs off easily.
Juggernaut trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Juggernaut looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Aerts slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Peter Aerts.

Juggernaut gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Aerts gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Juggernaut manages to break the clinch.
Juggernaut will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Juggernaut's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Juggernaut clinches up against the ropes.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Juggernaut breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Aerts connects with a good right hand that stumbles Juggernaut. Juggernaut circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Aerts throws a right hand that Juggernaut ducks under and follows up with a left that Juggernaut also avoids with ease.
Juggernaut will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Aerts lands a nice hook to Juggernaut's body. Juggernaut takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Peter Aerts will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Aerts lets loose with a powerful body kick. Juggernaut will feel that in the morning.
Aerts bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Juggernaut's head backwards.
Juggernaut shoots in but Aerts avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Juggernaut slips a jab and a cross from Aerts.
Juggernaut misses with a takedown attempt - Aerts sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Aerts scoring well with a low kick there.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Aerts here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Aerts bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Juggernaut's head backwards.
Aerts thows a body shot but no joy.
Juggernaut tries to score a power double leg takedown but Aerts sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Juggernaut somewhat.
Peter Aerts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kurt Juggernaut.
Aerts throws a half hearted mid kick.
Juggernaut looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Aerts is fending him off so far but Juggernaut persists. Nope, Aerts circles away and we're back to standing.
Aerts lands a head shot.
Aerts scores with a kick to the midsection.
Juggernaut fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Peter Aerts is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Juggernaut is breathing heavily.

Nice straight punches there by Aerts. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Aerts.
Juggernaut walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Aerts lands with an overhand left.

Juggernaut throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Aerts's waist but Aerts gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Juggernaut off to one side.

Peter Aerts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A slapping leg kick lands for Aerts.

Juggernaut clinches up with Aerts and pushes him back against the ropes.
Aerts misses with an elbow strike.
Juggernaut tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Aerts just stands there and leans against the ropes.
Juggernaut takes a knee right on the jaw!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Aerts swings wildly with an uppercut but Juggernaut uses good head movement to avoid it.
Aerts tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Juggernaut avoids it.
Juggernaut has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Aerts.
Juggernaut is looking to break free of the clinch but Aerts has double underhooks.

Aerts lands a damaging elbow.


That has opened up Kurt Juggernaut's cut even more.
Aerts creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Juggernaut's defenses.
Juggernaut avoids the elbow strike from Aerts, against the ropes.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Aerts.


The cut above Kurt Juggernaut's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Aerts lands an elbow inside that Juggernaut shrugs off.
Aerts lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.


Kurt Juggernaut's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Aerts lands a damaging elbow.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kurt Juggernaut's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Peter Aerts!
