Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ismail Polat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vaughn Shaunessey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ismail Polat could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Vaughn Shaunessey's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Polat lands with an uppercut that bounces Shaunessey off the cage and back into range.
Shaunessey doesn't manage to clinch there - Polat circles away.

Polat throws a nice inside leg kick.
Polat connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Polat throws a lazy right hand but Shaunessey sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Shaunessey chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Polat can pounce on him.
Polat will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Shaunessey takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

That was a close round but I would say that Ismail Polat will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

enabling Polat to counter with a crisp jab.

Shaunessey tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Polat paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Polat, as that shot connected.
Polat is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
