Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glock Glock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Glock has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Glock Glock ! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Banner throws a head kick but Glock moves out of range.
Glock looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Banner throws a right hand that Glock ducks under and follows up with a left that Glock also avoids with ease. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Glock gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Banner to score an easy takedown into full guard. Banner wants to pass the guard but Glock is keeping the position. Glock being controlled here, momentarily. Banner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Glock swivels though and keeps the full guard. Banner controlling from the top position.

Bruce Banner has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Banner shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Glock napping and manages to drive through into side control! Banner takes a little break here. Glock wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Banner is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Glock knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Banner stands up and we're back to a striking position. Banner clinches up with Glock and pushes him back against the cage. Banner tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Banner pulls guard. Banner looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Banner is looking for a triangle but Glock pushes his legs off easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Banner pulls Glock in close to prevent any damage. Glock throwing strikes but missing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Glock avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Glock got a little sloppy there for a moment and Banner has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Glock has managed to get both his arms back between Banner's legs - danger averted.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Banner is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Banner controlling the position. Banner is looking for a triangle but Glock pushes his legs off easily.

Come on Glock , up you get! Banner shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Glock is trying to defend but Banner finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Banner seems to be working for a kimura but Glock defends the submission attempt. Banner is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Bruce Banner overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Banner scoring with strikes to the body and head.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bruce Banner. Banner gets a takedown into half guard. Banner stalling. Glock trying to control but Banner postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Banner working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Banner controlling the action here. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Banner lands with a punch from half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Banner with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Banner is looking to advance position but Glock won't allow it. Bruce Banner dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Banner scoring with punches and elbows. Glock takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Banner tries to advance to mount but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Banner lands a few punches from side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Banner in side control lands a decent elbow. Glock seems a little lost for a moment, as Banner dominates the positioning. Banner is trying to land an Americana. That's two minutes gone in the round. Banner seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Glock for as long as he can get away with. Banner's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Bruce Banner just wasn't active enough. Banner throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Banner throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Banner forces Glock back against the cage and clinches. Glock drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Banner gets the underhooks and prevents it.

And that's the end of the fight! Bruce Banner showed his dominance in that final round. Well Banner has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
