Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jim Swanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Saber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jim Swanson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Saber! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swanson feints and as Saber raises his hands in defense, Swanson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Swanson working some strikes from top position. Swanson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Swanson landing some decent shots from guard. Saber controls Swanson momentarily but Swanson frees himself. Swanson tries to free his leg and advance position but Saber is retaining full guard. Swanson throws a big right hand that misses. Swanson preventing the sweep. Swanson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Saber works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Swanson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Swanson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Swanson lands a couple of elbows. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Swanson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Saber has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Saber wants to stand and escape but Swanson is having none of it.

Swanson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Saber avoids it really well and circles away. Swanson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Saber quickly recovers to half guard. Swanson slips a nice elbow through Saber's hands, connecting with Saber's forehead. Swanson is nestled in close to Saber, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Swanson slips a nice elbow through Saber's hands, connecting with Saber's forehead. That's three minutes gone in the round. Saber is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Swanson scores with a couple of nice shots. Swanson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Saber is just riding it out for now. Swanson eventually gives up the hold. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Swanson connects with a nice short shot to Saber's temple. Swanson slips a nice elbow through Saber's hands, connecting with Saber's forehead. Swanson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Swanson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Swanson wants to pass the guard but Saber is keeping the position. Swanson working some strikes from top position. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Swanson is looking to work some ground and pound but Saber has wrist control. Saber working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Swanson. Swanson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Saber's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jim Swanson dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Saber is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Swanson scores with a couple of nice shots. Swanson working the head and body with strikes. Saber wants to get back to his feet.

Swanson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Saber is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Swanson cracks Saber with a solid left hand. Swanson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Saber's head. Swanson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Swanson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Saber's guard. Swanson winds up and cracks Saber with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Swanson lands a big elbow - Saber is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Swanson!
