Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Magatsu Taito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evan Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams has chosen Willie Nelson - Whiskey River as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Evan Williams has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Magatsu Taito! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Evan Williams! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Russell Pearce and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taito darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Taito shoots in and drives through. Williams sprawls well. Williams moves into the clinch successfully.
Taito tries for a takedown but Williams manages to get underhooks.
Williams throws an elbow that misses.
Williams lands an elbow inside. Williams taking a breather. Williams with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Taito tries to throw a body punch but Williams avoids it by throwing Taito back against the cage. Taito lands a takedown into guard.
Taito in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Taito trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Taito accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Taito drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Taito jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Williams pulls Taito in to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Williams looking for a sweep. Not yet Williams, not yet. Williams pulls Taito in close to his closed guard and prevents Taito from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Taito trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Williams wants to sweep but no luck. Taito drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Taito jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Taito wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving. Williams is pulling down on Taito's head to control his posture. Taito stands and throws Williams's legs to the side, diving into side control. Taito working away. Taito tries to move to mount but Williams blocks the move with his legs. Williams looks to move to half guard but instead Taito has passed into mount! Damn!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Taito cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Williams can do anything to dispel that myth. Williams is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The referee warns Williams that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Taito lands a heavy elbow. Williams tries to hold on but Taito pushes him away. Williams is looking to get to half guard. Taito misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Williams slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Taito wants to pass the guard but Williams is defending well. Taito wants to work for an arm triangle but Williams is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Williams wants to control but Taito is keeping busy and won't allow it. Williams is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Taito has latched onto it... Big trouble! Taito pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Williams is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Taito!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Magatsu Taito! After winning the bout, Magatsu Taito thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
