Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Baggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brenden Abbott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brenden Abbott is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chuck Baggins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brenden Abbott! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abbott fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Baggins has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Baggins swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Abbott counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Abbott connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Baggins tries to close the distance and clinch up but Abbott swats him away and circles back towards the center. Abbott misses with a wild combination.
Baggins wants to clinch but Abbott slips to the side and Abbott counters with a stiff right hand. A thudding body kick lands there by Abbott!
Abbott misses with an uppercut. Baggins saw that one coming. Abbott connects with a jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Abbott scores with a takedown into Baggins's guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Abbott accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Abbott wants to control from the top but Baggins keeps moving. Abbott tries to free his leg and advance position but Baggins is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Abbott trying to control but Baggins is working from the bottom. Baggins has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Abbott digs a good hook to Baggins's body.
Baggins tries to clinch and Abbott counters with an inside leg kick. Baggins tries to clinch but fails miserably and Abbott counters with a straight right hand. Abbott shoots in but Baggins avoids the takedown attempt easily. Baggins moves into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Abbott. A quick uppercut on the inside from Baggins. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Baggins lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Brenden Abbott has been cut. Baggins blocking some punches.
Abbott tries to score a body lock takedown but Baggins shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Baggins throws a head punch that misses. Baggins creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Abbott's defenses. A head punch blocked on the inside by Abbott. With the fighters up against the cage, Baggins throws an elbow but misses. Abbott holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Baggins tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Baggins lands an elbow just above Abbott 's eye. Baggins lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Abbott backwards. Abbott looking for a takedown. Chuck Baggins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brenden Abbott.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Abbott's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Baggins throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Abbotts head. Abbott working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Baggins on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Abbott. Abbott obviously looking to wear him down.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Abbott.
Baggins tries to clinch up and Abbott counters with a good, hard body kick but Baggins shrugs it off. Abbott pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Baggins tries to close the distance and clinch up but Abbott swats him away and circles back towards the center. Brenden Abbott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Abbott throws a leg kick but Baggins sees it coming and moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Abbott misses with a hook. Baggins clinches up against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Abbott. Abbott looking for a takedown. Abbott stalling in the clinch but Baggins improves position. Baggins lands a shoulder strike. A head punch on the inside from Baggins fails to land. Baggins misses with a punch on the inside.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Abbott creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Abbott lands a shot to the body. Abbott blocks a punch to the side of the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Abbott tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Abbott misses with a hook from the clinch. Abbott is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Baggins pulls him back up using the underhooks. Abbott tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brenden Abbott dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Abbott will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Baggins takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Abbott catches Baggins with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Baggins throws a big shot that misses. Abbott just misses with a punch to the body.
Abbott fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Baggins checks it well. Abbott looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Baggins moves into the clinch. Abbott is trying to maintain a safe position but Baggins gets an underhook and turns Abbott into the cage. Abbott drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Baggins doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Abbott misses with a hook from the clinch. A short uppercut from Baggins.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baggins lands a nice uppercut. Baggins lands a hook that snaps the head of Abbott backwards. Baggins misses with a punch on the inside.

Abbott lands with a short head shot on the inside. Abbott's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Abbott throws a jab when Baggins was well out of range. Baggins fails with an attempt to clinch.
Baggins tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Baggins wants to clinch and Abbott cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Abbott throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Baggins is rocked! Abbott throws a push kick but Baggins slaps the foot to one side. Oh Baggins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Baggins tries to close the distance and clinch but Abbott swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Abbott avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Baggins seems to have got his legs back now. Abbott lands a nice leg kick that just misses Baggins's sensitive parts. Baggins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Abbott tries to avoid it but Baggins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Abbott to the ground. Abbott escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Baggins is looking to clinch. Baggins takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Baggins wants to clinch and Abbott counters with a flying knee that sends his opponent to the canvas! Abbott looking to finish! This has been an exciting period of action! Abbott looking to pass the guard. Abbott throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Baggins works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Abbott slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Baggins wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Abbott trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Baggins working a defensive guard but Abbott manages to pass into side control anyway.

Abbott throws a quick inside leg kick. Abbott connects with a crisp jab. Baggins avoids the head kick by Abbott.

Baggins throws out a loose jab but Abbott uses good head movement to avoid it. Baggins tries to close the distance and clinch but Abbott swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Abbott tries to keep at a distance but Baggins has taken the fight into the clinch.

Baggins gets through Abbott's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Abbott manages to break the clinch.
Baggins shoots in for a takedown but Abbott shows good takedown defense. Baggins tries to close the distance and clinch up but Abbott swats him away and circles back towards the center. Abbott lands a nice shot to the body.
Abbott is looking to slow Baggins down with leg kicks. Abbott throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Abbott slaps away a takedown attempt from Baggins, before circling back to the center of the mat. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Nice uppercut there from Abbott. Both fighters circling a little - Abbott finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Baggins throws a right hand that Abbott ducks under and follows up with a left that Abbott also avoids with ease. Chuck Baggins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Baggins is looking to clinch. Abbott lands with a good body shot. Abbott changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Baggins tries to clinch but Abbott moves out of range. Abbott throws a nice outside leg kick. Baggins is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Abbott moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Abbott ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Good leg kick by Abbott there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Abbott. Baggins tries to close the distance and clinch up but Abbott swats him away and circles back towards the center. Baggins chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Abbott can pounce on him.
That kick from Abbott tenderised Baggins's leg. Baggins is trying to keep his angry face on. Abbott lands a two punch combo.

He's got hold of a leg but Baggins swivels and escapes. Chuck Baggins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brenden Abbott. Baggins tries to clinch but Abbott is having none of it. Baggins rushes Abbott and presses him up against the cage. Brenden Abbott is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Baggins misses with a hook from the clinch. Baggins misses with a punch on the inside.
