Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hugo Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matiko Armenhammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armenhammer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Reyes sprawls well initially but Armenhammer persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Reyes is looking to improve his position.
Armenhammer sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Reyes defending well though.
Armenhammer working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Reyes moves into full guard.

Reyes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Armenhammer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Armenhammer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Armenhammer scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Reyes manages to mount him!

Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Reyes.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Reyes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Armenhammer's waist but Armenhammer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Reyes off to one side.

Armenhammer manages to get his head free but now Reyes has transitioned to an armbar! Armenhammer grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Reyes! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
