Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joey Fireplug (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kisame Hoshigaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joey Fireplug!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kisame Hoshigaki!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fireplug shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hoshigaki is trying to defend but Fireplug finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Fireplug seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Hoshigaki tries to kick Fireplug off in order to stand up. Fireplug Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Hoshigaki is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Hoshigaki is trying to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hoshigaki wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Hoshigaki prevents Fireplug from improving position.
Fireplug wants to control but Hoshigaki is keeping him busy.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hoshigaki can do anything to dispel that myth.

Fireplug in side control lands a decent elbow.
Fireplug tries to advance to mount but Hoshigaki denies him.
Fireplug trying to control the action but Hoshigaki is working from the bottom.
Hoshigaki wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Hoshigaki is looking for a sweep.
Hoshigaki parries the strikes from Fireplug easily there. Fireplug is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hoshigaki to escape.
Hoshigaki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fireplug. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fireplug looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Fireplug stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Hoshigaki fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Hoshigaki gets caught napping as Fireplug dives in and scores a takedown. Hoshigaki manages to retain guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hoshigaki controls Fireplug momentarily but Fireplug frees himself.
Fireplug is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hoshigaki is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Fireplug is controlling him.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Fireplug sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Joey Fireplug has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Fireplug tries to clinch

and Hoshigaki counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fireplug won't be happy with that.

It looks like Joey Fireplug has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Hoshigaki working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Hoshigaki prevents Fireplug from escaping the position.

You can see the frustration on Fireplug's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Fireplug regains half guard.
Hoshigaki throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hoshigaki lands a nice short elbow.
Hoshigaki seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.


Joey Fireplug's cut is getting worse.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hoshigaki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fireplug keeps working.
Fireplug blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hoshigaki.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kisame Hoshigaki will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Joey Fireplug's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Fireplug stalks Hoshigaki and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hoshigaki's face. Hoshigaki staggers backwards, shaken.


It looks like Kisame Hoshigaki has been cut.

Hoshigaki scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Hoshigaki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fireplug keeps working.
Fireplug looks like he's trying to stand up.
Hoshigaki throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Fireplug makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Fireplug.
Hoshigaki throwing strikes from guard but Fireplug blocks nicely.
Fireplug might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Hoshigaki throws a big right hand that misses.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hoshigaki's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hoshigaki lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Hoshigaki missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Hoshigaki postures up and lands a big shot to Fireplug's brow.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hoshigaki distracts Fireplug with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.


Jeez, Joey Fireplug's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Joey Fireplug's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Kisame Hoshigaki!
In his post fight interview, Kisame Hoshigaki started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
