PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dennis Oakley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corneo Stilztkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stilztkin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dream Theater - Home. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dennis Oakley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Corneo Stilztkin!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stilztkin looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Stilztkin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Stilztkin throws a head kick that misses
and Oakley cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Oakley throws a chopping leg kick but Stilztkin manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Stilztkin looks to land a body kick but Oakley moved away.
Stilztkin blocks a low kick nicely.
Stilztkin misses with a wild body shot.
Crunch! Oakley slams his shin into Stilztkin's torso.
Stilztkin throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Stilztkin throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A chopping leg kick lands by Oakley.
Stilztkin wants to slow Oakley down by chopping away at his legs.

Oakley gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Stilztkin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Stilztkin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Stilztkin has gone for a leg lock! Oakley slips out almost immediately though and dives into Stilztkin's guard.

Stilztkin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Oakley defends well.
Stilztkin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Stilztkin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Oakley defends it easily.

Stilztkin can't keep his opponent in guard - Oakley advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Stilztkin is refusing to be controlled, as Oakley sits in half guard.

Stilztkin throws a push kick but Oakley slaps the foot to one side.
Stilztkin takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Oakley fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Stilztkin is out of range.
Oakley throws a head kick but Stilztkin moves out of range.

Stilztkin looking to score a takedown here. Oakley is defending well but Stilztkin drives through and ends up in Oakley's guard.

Oakley is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Oakley has control of Stilztkin's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Stilztkin regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Oakley wants to control the pace but Stilztkin is squirming around nicely.
Stilztkin keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Stilztkin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Oakley's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stilztkin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Oakley is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Stilztkin is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dennis Oakley wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Horrible takedown by Stilztkin or perhaps it was just good defense by Oakley which made him look bad.

Oakley fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stilztkin manages to avoid it.
Crunch! Oakley slams his shin into Stilztkin's torso.
Stilztkin is breathing heavily.

Oakley throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Oakley is looking to score with low kicks.
Stilztkin tries for a takedown but Oakley sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Dennis Oakley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Corneo Stilztkin.
Stilztkin looks for a takedown but Oakley sprawls well.
Oakley throws a solid leg kick but Stilztkin takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Oakley.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Stilztkin walks into a straight right hand from Oakley.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Stilztkin crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Oakley - the referee stops the clock and Stilztkin gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Oakley. Stilztkin manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dennis Oakley dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Stilztkin takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Oakley takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Stilztkin takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Stilztkin stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Oakley.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Oakley scores with a jab to the jaw.
Stilztkin is still on wobbly legs! Can Oakley finish him?
Oakley throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Oakley cracks Stilztkin with a left hook right on the temple and Stilztkin goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Oakley lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Stilztkin is OK!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dennis Oakley!
Dennis Oakley decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
