The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kennedy shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rows manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Kennedy loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Kennedy is pushing down on Rows's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rows is fighting to maintain full guard but Kennedy has managed to sneak the leg through.
Kennedy takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Kennedy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Rows looks to move to half guard but instead Kennedy has passed into mount! Damn!
Kennedy is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Rows can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The referee warns Rows that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

It looks like The Rick Rows has been cut.
Kennedy breaks from Rows's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Oh Rows is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kennedy postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Rows in real trouble here! The ref calls for Rows to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
