PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andrei Randomski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Greatest (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that The Greatest was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andrei Randomski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, The Greatest!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randomski shoots for a double leg takedown but Greatest sprawls well. He's pushed Randomski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Randomski swats away the attempt to clinch by Greatest.
Greatest slaps away a takedown attempt from Randomski, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Greatest clinches up against the cage.
Greatest connects with a knee to the head.


It looks like Andrei Randomski has been cut.
Greatest lands a good knee to the midsection. Randomski won't want to take too many of those.
A bit of stalling here from Greatest.
A short uppercut from Greatest.
A shot in the inside from Greatest.
Greatest stalling in the clinch but Randomski improves position.
Randomski is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Greatest pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Greatest's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Randomski drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Greatest seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Greatest wants to sweep here but Randomski controlling him for the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Andrei Randomski.
Randomski shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Greatest sprawls well. Greatest wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Randomski gets slowly back to his feet.
Greatest stuffs the takedown.
Greatest tries to close the distance and clinch but Randomski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Randomski takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Greatest manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Greatest, under a barage of strikes from Randomski.
Greatest tries to get to full guard but Randomski has control of the leg.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Greatest wants to control but Randomski is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Randomski drops an elbow to the side of Greatest's head.

Greatest regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Randomski.
Randomski wants to control from the top but Greatest keeps moving.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Randomski's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Randomski throws a strike but Greatest rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Randomski on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Randomski tries to get out of the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Randomski looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Randomski is trying to keep Greatest in close.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Greatest is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but The Greatest will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Andrei Randomski's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Greatest connects with an inside leg kick.
Greatest buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Greatest scores with a push kick.
Randomski misses with a body shot.
A nice leg kick lands there from Greatest.
Greatest lands a nice leg kick that just misses Randomski's sensitive parts.
Randomski tries for a takedown but Greatest sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Randomski keeps the fight on the outside.
Greatest throws a front kick that sends Randomski stumbling back into the cage.
Greatest scores with a kick to the midsection.
Greatest thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Randomski if he has to take too many more of those.

Greatest takes the fight into the clinch.
Greatest lands a nice elbow.
Greatest displaying some good clinch control by pressing Randomski up against the cage.
Greatest lands an elbow that stopped Randomski in his tracks for a moment.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Greatest lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Greatest's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The Greatest is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Greatest tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A thudding body kick lands there by Greatest!
Greatest lands a nice shot to the body.
Greatest tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Randomski paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Randomski takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Greatest chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Greatest dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Randomski. That did some damage!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Greatest takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Randomski is trying to push Greatest away but Greatest has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Greatest lands an elbow that stopped Randomski in his tracks for a moment.
Greatest lands a hook that snaps the head of Randomski backwards.
Greatest stops a takedown attempt from Randomski.

Greatest pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Greatest circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Randomski drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Greatest follows Randomski to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). The Greatest!
