Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rampage Strykzilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Strykzilla comes to the cage accompanied by A Certain Death - Misery Signals. Griffin has chosen Wait and Bleed by Slipknot as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rampage Strykzilla! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shane Griffin! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strykzilla looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Griffin is fending him off so far but Strykzilla persists. Nope, Griffin circles away and we're back to standing. Griffin misses with a two punch combination.
Griffin misses with a shot to the body and Strykzilla counters with a single leg into guard. Griffin didn't expect that. Griffin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Strykzilla trying to control the position from guard on top but Griffin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Strykzilla throws a big right hand that misses. Strykzilla missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Strykzilla drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Griffin dives on top into guard. Strykzilla has his foot on Griffin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Griffin works his way back into a safe position though.

Strykzilla wants to control but Griffin is keeping busy and won't allow it. Strykzilla trying to get back to full guard but Griffin takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Strykzilla is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Griffin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Strykzilla is looking to get to half guard.

Griffin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Strykzilla swivels though and keeps the full guard. Strykzilla has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Griffin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Strykzilla has a closed guard, preventing Griffin from standing up. Griffin is stalling in the full guard. Griffin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Strykzilla is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Griffin is aware though and is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Strykzilla bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Griffin's guard. Griffin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Strykzilla. Strykzilla postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Strykzilla landing with the ground and pound. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Griffin being controlled here, momentarily. Strykzilla throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Strykzilla loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rampage Strykzilla dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Strykzilla fails with the takedown and Griffin counters with a stiff right hand. Griffin misses with a looping left. Griffin jabbing away but nothing is landing. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

and Strykzilla counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Griffin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Strykzilla trying to control from half guard but Griffin is working away. Strykzilla throwing shots but Griffin is blocking nicely.

The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Griffin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Strykzilla. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Strykzilla scores with a couple of good hammerfists. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Griffin can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Strykzilla lands with a punch from half guard. Strykzilla winds up and cracks Griffin with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Strykzilla is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Strykzilla thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Strykzilla sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Griffin defending well though. Griffin blocking the ground and pound attempt from Strykzilla. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rampage Strykzilla dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Strykzilla dives in and grabs Griffin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Griffin pushes down on Strykzilla's head and hops out. Griffin waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Strykzilla. Griffin slaps away a takedown attempt from Strykzilla, before circling back to the center of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Strykzilla tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Griffin swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rampage Strykzilla. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Strykzilla. Strykzilla shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Griffin but Griffin pushes him off and we're back to square one. No luck with that takedown attempt from Strykzilla.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Griffin pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Griffin misses with a lunging right hand
and Strykzilla counters with a single leg into guard. Griffin didn't expect that.

Strykzilla postures up in Griffin's guard and throws a big left but Griffin blocks it. Griffin wants to stand and escape but Strykzilla is having none of it. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Strykzilla accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Strykzilla lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Strykzilla is looking to work some ground and pound but Griffin has wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Strykzilla postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Griffin has momentary wrist control but Strykzilla slips an elbow through the middle. Strykzilla throwing strikes but missing. Strykzilla looking to pass the guard. Strykzilla missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Strykzilla trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Strykzilla wants to control from the top but Griffin keeps moving. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Griffin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Strykzilla controls the pace.
And that's the end of the fight! Rampage Strykzilla showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Strykzilla, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
