Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Urijah Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike McDougal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDougal is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Meddler - August Burns Red. Mike McDougal will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Urijah Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDougal keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Urijah Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by McDougal. McDougal obviously looking to wear him down.
McDougal tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away.
McDougal tries to clinch but Silva moves out of range.
No luck for Silva with that takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McDougal wants to clinch.

Horrible takedown by Silva or perhaps it was just good defense by McDougal which made him look bad.

Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McDougal's waist but McDougal gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from McDougal.
Silva shoots in for a double leg but McDougal sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Silva has a takedown stuffed.
Silva scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
McDougal pushes Silva away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Silva gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Silva is breathing heavily.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
McDougal tries to clinch but Silva is having none of it.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Silva shoots in but no luck this time.
Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but McDougal sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

McDougal is pressed up against the cage. Silva has hold of a leg and is looking to drag McDougal down to the mat. McDougal avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
McDougal connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
McDougal scores with a kick to the body.
McDougal has managed to clinch.
Silva turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Silva manages to end up in side control.
McDougal wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McDougal takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McDougal wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
McDougal is looking to get back to his feet here but Silva is keeping cool and he's managed to take McDougal's back.
