Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Chimpo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Howard Yuen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chimpo's entrance music is On The Darkside. A fine choice. Howard Yuen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
26 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnny Chimpo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Howard Yuen!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chimpo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Yuen napping and manages to drive through into side control!
An elbow from Chimpo crashes against the mat.
Chimpo working the head and body with strikes.
Chimpo remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The ground and pound from Chimpo seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Chimpo creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Yuen sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Yuen managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Chimpo.
Chimpo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Yuen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Chimpo tries to score with some ground and pound. Yuen controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Chimpo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Chimpo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Yuen avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Chimpo.
Chimpo throws an elbow but Yuen slips to the side and avoids it well.
Yuen taking punishment in the form of punches.
Yuen is not content to let Chimpo control the position.
Chimpo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chimpo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yuen keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chimpo working the ground and pound but Yuen is defending the strikes.
Yuen is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Chimpo tries for a kimura but Yuen is defending well.

Yuen defending against the ground and pound.
Chimpo is putting a hurting on Yuen here, landing some big shots from side control.
Yuen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chimpo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Yuen pushes Chimpo away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Chimpo gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Chimpo has hold of Yuen's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Yuen seems comfortable defending it but Chimpo has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Yuen is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Yuen is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Chimpo couldn't care less - he's delighted!
