The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruden fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Maci.
Maci stuffs the takedown.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cruden.
Cruden shoots in for a double leg but Maci sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richie Cruden. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Maci fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cruden, pushing him back against the cage.
Maci is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Maci drags the fight down to the ground.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Maci is looking to sinch up a triangle. Cruden throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Maci's body to avoid the submission. Maci has instead reached around Cruden's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Maci arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
