Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Mazyck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunnar Steigelmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mazyck is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Mazyck! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gunnar Steigelmann! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Lou da Vinci and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ouch! a nice leg kick from Steigelmann, right into the meat.
Mazyck is breathing heavily. Steigelmann scores with a leg kick.
Steigelmann stuns Mazyck with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Steigelmann feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mazycks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Steigelmann lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Nice body punch from Steigelmann. Steigelmann jabs at Mazyck's body. Mazyck takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Steigelmann lands a jab-cross combination. Mazyck takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Steigelmann scores with a three punch combo!
A nice inside leg kick there by Steigelmann. That's going to slow Mazyck down. Steigelmann lands an overhand right. Mazyck moves forwards but Steigelmann connects with a nice, crisp jab. Mazyck stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Steigelmann.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steigelmann throws a head kick that half lands.
Good leg kick by Steigelmann there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Steigelmann throws a nice inside leg kick. Mazyck walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Mazyck doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Mazyck takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. An inside leg kick lands from Steigelmann. Steigelmann is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Mazyck rather than just go for the knockout. Steigelmann connects with a leg kick. Mazyck looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Steigelmann scores with a leg kick.
Mazyck tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. An inside leg kick lands from Steigelmann.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Steigelmann. Mazyck shrugs it off though. Steigelmann dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Steigelmann goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Steigelmann scores with a one two! Mazyck had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Steigelmann!
Mazyck throws a head kick but Steigelmann moves out of range.
No joy there for Mazyck, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Steigelmann throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Steigelmann thumps Mazyck with a low kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A nice leg kick lands there from Steigelmann.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steigelmann lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Mazyck takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Mazyck needs to keep his hands up - Steigelmann had a free shot at his head there. A nice leg kick lands there from Steigelmann. Mazyck walks forward, straight into a front kick from Steigelmann. Steigelmann is working the combinations to good effect here. Steigelmann lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Mazyck decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Well, if Mazyck is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Mazyck stops Steigelmann from getting back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mazyck working over Steigelmann with some ground and pound. Steigelmann looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Mazyck is figuring out what he wants to do next. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mazyck tries to pass the half guard into mount. Steigelmann knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Steve Mazyck. No joy there for Mazyck, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Steigelmann connects with a body shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gunnar Steigelmann dominated that round. That's time! Mazyck's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Mazyck has Steigelmann up against the cage in a clinch.
Steigelmann looking to slow down the pace here. Mazyck keeps control of Steigelmann as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Steigelmann is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Steigelmann wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Steigelmann is trying to break free. Steigelmann misses with a punch on the inside.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Steigelmann is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Mazyck to keep the fight standing. Steigelmann is trying to break the clinch but Mazyck is controlling him. Steigelmann is looking to break free of the clinch but Mazyck has double underhooks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steigelmann is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Mazyck blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Steigelmann is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Mazyck to keep the fight standing. Steve Mazyck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gunnar Steigelmann. Mazyck controlling the action here for a moment.
Mazyck prevents Steigelmann from breaking the clinch. Steigelmann jumps guard but Mazyck stands there with Steigelmann around his waist. Steigelmann gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Steigelmann is trying to break the clinch but Mazyck has him pressed against the cage. Mazyck lands on the inside with an uppercut. Mazyck has picked Steigelmann up - he's going for a ride! Mazyck dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Mazyck slows the pace down in half guard. Steigelmann is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Mazyck has latched onto it... Big trouble! Mazyck pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Steigelmann is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Mazyck!
