Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Mazyck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devon Woodcomb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Woodcomb comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Chamillionaire- Rockstar kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Devon Woodcomb will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeremy Mazyck! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Devon Woodcomb! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mazyck swats away the attempt to clinch by Woodcomb. Woodcomb closes the distance and clinches up with Mazyck, looking for a takedown. Woodcomb pushes Mazyck against the cage but Mazyck circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Mazyck gets in close and instigates a clinch. Mazyck's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Mazyck fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Woodcomb goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Woodcomb keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
No joy there for Mazyck, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Woodcomb tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mazyck manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A momentary lapse in concentration from Woodcomb enables Mazyck to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Woodcomb manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Mazyck looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Woodcomb looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mazyck is one step ahead there. Mazyck gets to his feet - Woodcomb follows without any prompting.

Devon Woodcomb seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Woodcomb tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Mazyck has Woodcomb up against the cage in a clinch.
Woodcomb wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Mazyck is leaning against Woodcomb and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Mazyck tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Mazyck wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Woodcomb is looking to work some ground and pound but Mazyck has wrist control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mazyck moves forwards but Woodcomb connects with a nice, crisp jab. Mazyck fails with a takedown attempt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mazyck closes the distance and clinches up with Woodcomb, looking for a takedown. Mazyck pushes Woodcomb against the cage but Woodcomb circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Woodcomb to score with a decent uppercut. Woodcomb has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Nice defenses there by Woodcomb. Mazyck tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Woodcomb jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mazyck walks away with a smile on his face. Woodcomb gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Woodcomb is working the combinations to good effect here. Mazyck clinches. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Mazyck takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Mazyck drops down looking for an ankle pick but Woodcomb pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Woodcomb closes the distance and lands a one-two. Mazyck shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Woodcomb sprawls well. Woodcomb wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mazyck gets slowly back to his feet. A right-left combo lands from Woodcomb. Mazyck lets loose with a powerful body kick. Woodcomb will feel that in the morning. Woodcomb bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mazyck's head backwards. Woodcomb doesn't manage to clinch there - Mazyck circles away.
