The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amavimus missing with a left hand there. Mir was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Amavimus clinches up against the cage.
Amavimus throws an elbow that misses.

Mir ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mir no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Mir bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Amavimus's guard.

Mir misses with a jab, cross combination.
Amavimus loads up on a big right hand but Mir slips the punch.
Amavimus lunges at Mir with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mir's hand.

It looks like Francisco Mir has been cut.
Ogustivimus Amavimus is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Amavimus enables Mir to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Amavimus manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Amavimus looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mir is one step ahead there.

Ogustivimus Amavimus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Amavimus darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Amavimus lands a hook that stumbles Mir back into the cage. Amavimus follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Mir to the canvas! Amavimus pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Mir has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
